After the logs have been peeled, it is necessary to dry the veneer sheets that have just been peeled. This operation is done through dryers.

Drying helps eliminate the water contained inside wood veneers. Sheets pass through a ventilated machine and are heated to between 160 and 205°C.

Each wood is treated differently depending on its nature. For the same species, the drying time can vary because each ball has its own physical constraints and different moisture contents.
